GOWES has released 50 bicycles in the Festival area which can be used free of charge by visitors who have the GOWES application installed on their smartphones. In addition, GOWES is also allocating another 60 GOWES bikes bicycles in 12 locations scattered along Sanur Beach and Jalan Danau Tamblingan. In order to rent the bikes, users simply need to download the GOWES application and top up the balance.
“We hope that our participation in the Sanur Village Festival 2018 will be the right moment to introduce our GOWES Bike Sharing service to visitors and residents of Bali, including tourists. Visitors can try GOWES bikes directly for free, in the hope they will continue to access GOWES bikes in the future, as they are to be made available at partnered outlets such as MiniMart Bali,” commented Iwan Suryaputra, STP President Director.
“We also hope GOWES can be a smart and quick option for short distance transportation; it will certainly be a smart solution to get around densely populated areas in urban Bali, while also encouraging a healthier lifestyle. We also play our part in cutting noise and air pollution,” added Iwan.
Currently, hundreds of GOWES bikes are operating in Bali, first introduced in the Kuta and Legian areas; now they are available in Sanur. Since July 27th, 2018 GOWES has officially operated around the National Monument (Monas) area of Jakarta, looking to widespread operation around Indonesia’s capital district in the near future.
Fitted with a Tracking Device & Digital Indonesia Map, the bikes can be parked anywhere within the GOWES operational area once the rider reaches his or her destination. Prospective users can easily download the GOWES application from Google Play Store or App store and top up their credit balance through smartphones; they may also purchase credit at a MCAS digital kiosk, available at a thousand sales points across Indonesia.
